The time has come once more for a new committee to be elected for the MHSS. If you've wanted to become a bigger part in the Greek community this is a great opportunity to jump right into the thick of it.

Why would you want to join the Greek Committee?

I'm poli glad you thought of it.

Firstly. Kati networking. You'll make friends for life by being a part of this committee and build connections with people you would otherwise never meet. You may even find that special someone amongst the crowd as well ;).

Secondly. Involvement. Want to organize Greek events, do it. Want to promote Greek culture and language, do it. Want to sound 'like a boss' in front of your friends because you're in a committee, do it!

Thirdly. One mind. We're all Greek, all the time (we fit some Cypriot time in there as well). We're all like minded, so you're guaranteed to have a ball.

There are a variety of other reasons that spring to mind, but we'll just skip to the juicy part.

The event will be at Monash University, Clayton Campus between 12-1pm on the 13th of March. The exact room is TBC

Hi again guys,

With the year underway, and membership once again on the rise, the MHSS is starting things up on campus.

Our first event for the year will be a combined cake and boat cruise ticket sales day on the Menzies Lawns between 11am to 2pm. It'll be on Wednesday 7th of March which isn't far off! We'll also be doing sign ups for those who missed us at O-Week.

For those keen on buying a ticket for the NUGAS Boat Cruise (https://www.facebook.com/events/243655375717229/), prices are as follows.

Member: $50
Non-Member: $60

If you're already a member and you've got your boat cruise ticket already set, come on down anyway and meet some of your fellow club members. Your future husband/wife could be but a cake day away (has happened before ;) ) so make your presence known!

Oh hi there!

University is almost back, and we here at the MHSS are going to be out on the prowl over this coming week at the Monash Clayton O-Week festivities.

For those who are just starting out at university, come look us up! We'll get you connected with all things Greek, not to mention get you networked with your mates from Greek School you haven't seen in 10 years, family you never knew you had and the opportunity to meet many new friends along the way. Whether you like it or not, you will know the Greek community and it you, so come and be a part!

For those who've been with us in previous years, you know the deal, so we'll be waiting for you, and if you don't come, we will find you.. we know your yiayia and pappou (most likely).

We'll be at Monash University, Clayton Campus selling membership and giving out showbags from:

Monday (20/2) to Thursday (23/2) between 11am and 3pm.

If you can't find us amongst the crowd, look for the people yelling at each other (and heavily using hand gestures) or look for the best dressed on campus and follow where they're going and you're bound to find us. ;)
